Successful learners will receive a Qualsafe Awards certificate, valid for a period of 3 years from the date of successful completion.

The requirement of Qualsafe Awards is that this certificate is renewed before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.

There are no practical assessments during this qualification.


Successful completion of the theory assessment is required to successfully complete the qualification.

At the end of this qualification there is a multiple choice paper for each learner to sit.

This qualification should give learners the knowledge and understanding to safeguard children, young people, and adults at risk of harm and abuse in the workplace as well as how to recognise the signs and symptoms and respond to evidence or concerns a child, young person or an adult has been abused

The current guidelines for organisations working with people at risk is that they have a duty in helping to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk. This qualification meets such a requirement.
