Our Qualify@Home system has been introduced to enable you to get your accredited qualification from the comfort of your office, home or home office. This system has been set up in order to meet the requirements of regulated examination conditions, whilst allowing the freedom of where you take the qualification.

Qualify@Home has 3 key areas:

  • e-Learning,
  • e-Assessment, and
  • Remote Invigilation.

The qualifications on this page are the only qualifications that can be used to qualify from the comfort of your own home, we have other qualifications that are available in our Face-2-Face Course Den. 

Highfield Qualify@Home Courses

In order to book our Highfield Qualify@Home courses, we ask you to complete the form on the course description in the accordions below. Should you have multiple learners, please feel free to contact us direct to get this booked. Once we receive your completed booking form, we shall send you an invoice for payment. Please note the exam can not take place until the invoice has been paid, this is why we ask for your preferred date to be 14 after you anticipate the invoice being paid (inline with our invoice terms).

Remote Invigilation

At home
when convenient with the learner

Our Qualify@Home Remote Invigilation system allows you to sit your assessments from your own home, it allows you to be monitored as you take your assessments and ensures that you meet exam environment requirements.

What Equipment do I need?

In order to be able to use our Qualify@Home Remote Invigilation system you will need the following equipment, instructions for how to check that you have the right setup will be included in the enrolment e-mail for the e-Learning.

Isolated Area

Learners will need to select an isolated area, where they will not be interrupted, to complete their examination under the required conditions. The exam will be remotely invigilated.

Computer

Required for all stages of the Qualify@Home system enabling learners to complete the e-Learning module, and then log on to our digital invigilation platform with their unique credentials.

Smart Phone

Used as a second camera to show that the learner is complying with examination processes, and has no notes or learning aids. Also, used to show learner is in an isolated area.

Web Cam

The web cam is vital to allow the remote invigilator observe the completion of the examination, ensuring that it is completed complying with standard examination rules.

Identification

It is important the person booked on a session is the person who undertakes the examination, Identification is checked to ensure the learner is the one booked to take the exam.

Highfield Level 3 Award in Food Safety for Catering (RQF)

Why this course?

Our qualification aim is is to educate learners in supervising food safety in a catering environment.  It includes the importance of safety management procedures and the requirements for monitoring, recording and evaluating these procedures, food safety and the law, good food hygiene practice and the role of the supervisor in the catering environment.

Description

Around 95% of inspected businesses score a hygiene rating of 3 or above.

Make sure you’re not one of the 5% who doesn’t. This course is ideal for anyone operating in a supervisory role as it provides more advanced knowledge and understanding of the subject. Although it does not provide a qualification itself, the training meets all legal requirements and offers full compliance for supervisors within the food industry without the need to attend a 3-day course.

9 – 15 hours

Who is this course for?

This qualification is for people who work, or are preparing to work, in a supervisory role in a catering environment. It would also be suitable for people who own or manage small catering businesses.

Successful candidates will leave the course equipped and empowered with the knowledge and skills required to effectively supervise food safety within a food catering environment.
